Portsmouth Water is inviting residents to a community drop-in event in Havant, giving customers the chance to speak directly to staff about major local projects and the support available to households.
The event will take place at the Meridian Shopping Centre on Saturday 25 April, from 10am until 4pm. Visitors will be able to drop in throughout the day to ask questions and find out more about a range of issues, including the Havant Thicket Reservoir, smart water metering and customer support schemes and tariffs.
Portsmouth Water says the event is designed to help people better understand the work taking place across the area, while also giving them the opportunity to raise concerns and get information face-to-face.
Bob Taylor, Chief Executive Officer at Portsmouth Water, said: “As a local company with a long history of serving our community, going out and speaking to our customers in person is incredibly important to us.
“This is a really exciting time for Portsmouth Water. We’re delivering our largest ever investment programme over the next five years, as well as building the first major new UK reservoir in over three decades. We are also in the process of rolling out smart water meters to our customers, supporting homes in our supply area to detect leaks early and helping them to reduce water use.
“We’re absolutely committed to keeping our customers informed and involved as these projects progress and are also conscious of the pressures they may be facing themselves because of the rising cost of living. This event is an opportunity for people to have an informal chat with us, learn more about what we’re doing locally and also talk through what support measures we may be able to offer them. We’re really looking forward to Saturday and would encourage anyone who would like to speak to us, to come along.”
The event is free to attend and there is no need to book in advance.
It will be held at the Meridian Shopping Centre, Elm Lane, Havant, PO9 1UN, on Saturday 25 April 2026 from 10am to 4pm.
