Police in Chichester are inviting cyclists to a free bike marking event later this week.
The session will take place on Saturday 25 April from 3pm until 4pm at Chichester Bike Project, Longacre House, Longacres Way, Chichester.
Residents are being encouraged to bring their bikes along to have them security marked free of charge.
Bike marking helps police identify stolen bicycles and can improve the chances of them being returned to their owners if they are recovered.
Officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team will also be at the event and available to speak with members of the public.
It is a chance for residents to raise any concerns they may have about crime or anti-social behaviour in their area, while also getting practical advice on bike security and crime prevention.
Police regularly hold bike marking sessions as part of ongoing efforts to reduce theft and support safer cycling in the community.
The event is being held in partnership with Chichester Bike Project, which is based at Longacre House on Longacres Way.
The initiative forms part of wider neighbourhood policing work in Chichester aimed at engaging with the public and helping people take simple steps to protect their property.
