A teenager is in custody following a recent stabbing in Victoria Park, Worthing.
Officers responded to a report that a man had sustained serious injuries after he was attacked at around 2.45am on Saturday, 28 February.
The stabbing followed a brief interaction between the victim and two people in the park.
The suspects were described as wearing all grey tracksuits with their hoods up and faces covered.
The victim, a man in his 40s, has been discharged from hospital and continues to recover at home.
On Sunday, 1 March, a 17-year-old boy from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and with being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.
He remains in custody at the time of writing.
Detective Sergeant, Harry Mansbridge said: "A team are working hard to progress a series of enquiries, including the collection of CCTV that could be vital to the investigation.
"Following our earlier appeal, we would like to thank everyone who has come forward with information so far. We continue to urge anyone who believes they may be able to assist us to make a report."
