A three-year-old boy has been seriously injured in a collision involving a van at a campsite in West Sussex.

Emergency services were called to Red House Farm in Earnley, near Chichester, at around 7.30pm on Saturday, 1 August. An air ambulance was seen at the scene of the incident in Bookers Lane.

Sussex Police confirmed that the boy had been involved in a collision with a van and was taken to hospital for treatment. A police spokeswoman said no arrests had been made and officers were continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Red House Farm is a family-run campsite on a working farm, close to Bracklesham Bay and West Wittering.

No further update on the child’s condition has yet been released.
