Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Yapton.
Shortly before 3.45 pm on Saturday, May 30, an electric motorcycle was involved in a collision with a Ford Transit van and a Nissan Micra on Burndell Road in Yapton.
The Ford Transit had been travelling northbound on Burndell Road, and the Nissan Micra was heading southbound. The motorcycle was also travelling southbound, having turned onto Burndell Road from Barley Lane shortly before the collision.
Emergency services, including the South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance attended the scene.
The rider of the electric motorcycle, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the collision.
The driver of the Ford Transit van, a 29-year-old man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries following the collision.
The driver of the Nissan Micra, a 50-year-old man, was uninjured.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or has CCTV or dashcam footage showing the collision or of any of the vehicles involved in the minutes before it, to contact police online or by calling 101, quoting Op Greensand.
