Plans to build 33 homes in Loxwood have been submitted to Chichester District Council.
The application from Macar Homes, seeks permission to develop land south of Farm Close.
The council refused an application for 19 homes on the site in 2017 due to concerns about the design and the number of large homes being proposed. In 2013, plans for 17 homes were approved but never started.
If the latest application is given the nod, the development will be made up of four one-bedroom, 12 two-bedroom, 12 three-bedroom, and five four-bedroom homes, 13 of which will be classed as affordable.
It will be accessed via Farm Close.
A design statement submitted with the plans said: “Careful consideration has been given to the application to ensure a high-quality proposal that maintains a coherent visual character across the wider development.
“In-depth examination of the mix of units, layout, access and movement, impact on landscape and residential amenity have been continuous throughout the design process to ensure the proposal meets the needs of Loxwood.”
