Police are appealing for witnesses after a dangerous dog incident in Newport.
Between 9:45 and 10:30 yesterday morning, a man was seen walking a dog described as a Staffy–Bullmastiff cross.
The animal reportedly lunged at members of the public.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog and possession of Class A drugs.
Meanwhile, the dog has been seized by police.
