Police are investigating a serious multi-vehicle collision on the A23 at Albourne.
Emergency services were called to the northbound carriageway at around 10.15pm on 16 April following reports of a crash involving two cars and a lorry.
Three occupants of a blue Ford Fiesta were taken to hospital with serious injuries, where they remain. They include the driver, a 17-year-old boy from East Grinstead, and two passengers aged 19, one from East Grinstead and the other from Copthorne.
The driver of a second vehicle, a Ford Puma, a 46-year-old woman from Horsham, also sustained injuries in the collision.
The lorry driver, a 57-year-old man from Swindon, was not injured.
Police have confirmed that road closures remain in place on the northbound carriageway from Pyecombe while investigations continue at the scene. Diversions have been set up, and motorists are being advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the collision to come forward. This includes anyone who may have captured relevant footage on CCTV, mobile phones or dashcams.
Anyone who can assist is urged to report it to Sussex Police online, quoting Operation Malling.
