A motorcyclist has suffered possible life-changing injuries following a serious crash in Gosport.
Police say the collision happened on Rowner Road at the junction with the Grange Road roundabout at around 12.30am on Wednesday. The incident involved a grey Honda NSC 110 and is understood to have been a single-vehicle crash.
The rider, a man in his 30s from Gosport, suffered serious and potentially life-threatening injuries. He remains in hospital while officers continue their investigation into what happened.
Hampshire police say extensive enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision. As part of that investigation, officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with footage that could help.
They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash, or anyone who may have captured the incident on dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV.
Police are also asking for information from anyone who remembers seeing the same rider and motorbike earlier in the evening. Officers say they are especially interested in hearing from anyone who saw the grey Honda NSC 110 at Brockhurst roundabout, at the junction with the A32, before the collision took place.
The appeal comes as officers work to piece together the moments leading up to the crash and understand how the rider came to be seriously injured.
Anyone with information which could assist the investigation is being urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 44260186866.
