Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious assault in Littlehampton.
Officers were called to Terminus Road at around 10:20pm on Saturday night.
A man in his fifties was taken to hospital following the incident.
A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, was in the area at the time, or has any CCTV, mobile phone or dashcam footage, that may assist the investigation, is asked to report it to us online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1253 of 10/01.
