A house in Saltdean has been badly damaged after a fire broke out in its roof.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to Lenham Avenue at 8.57pm on Wednesday, 12 August.
Six fire engines were sent to the scene, along with an aerial ladder platform, after reports that the roof of a house was alight.
Neighbouring properties were evacuated as firefighters tackled the blaze, but no injuries were reported.
The fire service began scaling back its operation at around 10.40pm.
Crews later used a thermal imaging camera to check the property for hot spots before handing it over at approximately 2am on Thursday.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said an investigation into the cause of the fire would be carried out.
