Motorists in Pulborough are being warned of a road closure next week to improve safety.
The A29 Church Hill will shut for ten days from Monday, the 20th of April, between Lower Street and Church Place.
The County Council say its to allow essential safety work, including vegetation clearance and inspections of the roadside banks.
Diversions will be in place via the A29, A272, A24 and A283.
There will be no parking cones on New Place Road during the closure.
The council county is continuing to work towards a resolution following the landslip in 2023. At a court hearing in January, the landowners’ appeals to statutory notices requiring them to carry out tree work were dismissed.
The council is also continuing to negotiate with the landowners for access that would enable testing of the ground and soil, which is essential for designing and planning a permanent solution.
