Three boys have been arrested after reports of pigeons being killed in Portsmouth.
Police were first called at 8.30am on Saturday, 27 June, after a number of dead pigeons were found under South Parade Pier in Southsea the previous day.
Officers were then called to a separate report in Commercial Road at around 7.10pm on Tuesday, 30 June.
It was reported that three boys had been stamping on pigeons and shooting them with slingshots.
Police attended and arrested a 12-year-old boy and two 13-year-old boys, all from Portsmouth, on suspicion of killing a wild bird and possession of an offensive weapon.
The three boys were also further arrested on suspicion of the same offences in connection with the incident reported on Saturday, 27 June.
Officers located and seized three slingshots as part of their enquiries.
The boys have been bailed with conditions until Wednesday, 30 September, while the investigation continues.
Police enquiries remain ongoing.
