Best foot forward to support Horsham Matters

A Horsham charity is marking 20 years of supporting local people with its first sponsored walk.

Horsham Matters is staging a 20-kilometre guided walk along the South Downs on the 19^th of September from Amberley to Pulborough.

The charity’s now looking for people to take part and raise money, which will go into running food banks, community cafés, and advice and support services.

The sponsored walk will be led by professional guides, the route includes regular check in points, water and toilet stops, first aid and support from experts. All finishers receive a medal and the option to purchase a commemorative T-shirt.

Rob Blaker, Fundraising & Marketing Manager said: “We wanted to try something new in our 20^th year and we’re confident we’re onto a winner with this sponsored walk. It will be a hugely enjoyable and memorable day for all the walkers and a fun way to bond with colleagues or make new friends.

“Best of all, every sponsored step along the way will help Horsham Matters to continue supporting people in need through our food banks, community cafés, budgeting advice and other support. In these straitened times, need is great and a big fundraiser like this walk can make all the difference to local families facing poverty.”
