Sussex MPs to question Foreign Office on West Bank trade and religious freedom

Two Sussex MPs are due to question ministers from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office today on issues including trade with Israeli settlements and freedom of religion.

Horsham MP John Milne is listed on the order paper for departmental questions, which are scheduled to begin at 2.30pm.

The Liberal Democrat MP will ask what assessment the department has made of the potential merits of banning trade with illegal settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Crawley MP Peter Lamb is also due to put a question to ministers during the session.

The Labour MP will ask what steps the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office is taking to promote freedom of religion around the world.

Both questions form part of the department’s scheduled session in the House of Commons.
