Appeal following serious collision on M3 between Eastleigh and Winchester

Two people have been seriously injured in a collision on the M3 near Winchester.

A BMW and a Skoda crashed on the northbound carriageway between junctions 12 and 11 on Sunday morning.

A 24-year-old man from London has been arrested on suspicion of several driving offences, including driving without insurance and failing to stop at the scene of an accident, and has been released on bail.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has dashcam footage of the collision or the moments leading up to it.
