The family of a man who died following a fire in Cowes have paid tribute to a much-loved son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend.
Emergency services were called at 3.32am on Friday, June 26, to a fire at an address in Ronsons Close.
Police attended alongside colleagues from the fire and ambulance services, but Lucas Scutt, aged 24 and from Cowes, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family have now released a tribute in his memory.
"Our family is completely devastated by the loss of Lucas, a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. He brought so much joy, love, and laughter into our lives, and his loss leaves an unimaginable void.
“We are also mourning the loss of his beloved pets, who also passed away alongside him.
“We, as a family, ask that our privacy is fully respected by the media at this time as we attempt to come to terms with this profound tragedy."
Police say their investigation into Lucas’s death remains ongoing.
As part of enquiries, three men remain on bail after being arrested on suspicion of murder and arson with intent to endanger life.
Officers are continuing to appeal for anyone with information which could assist the investigation to come forward.
Anyone who can help is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 44260302232.
Information can also be submitted online through the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary website.
