Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision in Portsmouth.
The incident happened at around 1am on Sunday, 24 May 2026, on Goldsmith Avenue, near the junction with Talbot Road.
The cyclist, a 19-year-old man, was in collision with a vehicle, which police believe may have been a white Skoda. The driver failed to stop at the scene.
The cyclist suffered a serious injury to his leg and required medical treatment.
Officers say they have already carried out a number of enquiries, but are now asking members of the public to come forward with any information that could help the investigation.
Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the Goldsmith Avenue area at the time of the collision.
They would also like to speak to anyone who may have dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage from the area, especially footage showing a white Skoda or any vehicle leaving the scene around the time of the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference 44260243556.
Information can also be submitted online through Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary’s existing case reporting form.
