A woman has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a serious collision on the A22 at East Grinstead.
Sussex Police said the crash happened at around 5.20am on Tuesday, 25 August.
It was reported that a black Volkswagen Polo and an articulated lorry were involved in a head-on collision.
A 32-year-old woman was taken to hospital, where she is being treated for injuries which police say are believed to be life-threatening.
Officers are now pursuing a number of lines of enquiry as they work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or who may have information that could assist the investigation, to come forward.
They are particularly keen to hear from motorists who may have relevant dashcam footage.
