Hampshire’s Utilita Bowl will host a men’s Ashes Test for the first time as part of a historic summer of international cricket in 2027.

England will face Australia at the Southampton venue from July 21 to 25 in the fourth match of the five-Test Rothesay Ashes Series.

The fixture will make Utilita Bowl only the 10th ground in the UK to stage a match in cricket’s oldest international rivalry.

The series will begin at Trent Bridge on June 18 before moving to Lord’s and Edgbaston. Following the five days of play in Hampshire, the final Test will begin at The Oval on July 29.

The Ashes Test will be the centrepiece of a major year for international cricket in Hampshire, with three England fixtures confirmed at Utilita Bowl.

England Men will open their five-match Metro Bank One Day International series against Pakistan at the ground on May 15.

England Women will then face Australia at Utilita Bowl on July 13 in the opening ODI of the multi-format Women’s Ashes series.

That match will take place just eight days before the men’s Test between the two countries begins at the same venue.

David Mann, Chief Executive of Utilita Bowl says: "The Ashes is one of the biggest events in world sport, and we're incredibly proud that Utilita Bowl will host the fourth Test Match in the Rothesay 2027 Men's Ashes series from 21–25 July. This is a landmark moment for our venue, Hampshire Cricket and the South Coast, and a testament to the investment we've made in creating one of the world's leading cricket destinations.

"We know this will be one of the most sought-after sporting tickets of 2027, and we're looking forward to welcoming supporters from across the UK and around the world for what promises to be an unforgettable five days of world-class cricket.

"What makes 2027 even more special is that it will be the culmination of an incredible summer of international cricket. Before the Ashes Test, we'll welcome England and Pakistan for a Men's Metro Bank ODI on 15 May before England and Australia face off in the Metro Bank Women's Ashes Series on 13 July.

"To host three of the biggest international fixtures in the space of just a few months, represents both an honour and an opportunity to showcase everything our venue, our region and Hampshire Cricket have to offer on the biggest stage."
