Sussex Reptile Rescue Centre is appealing for trustees and volunteers to join its growing team as demand for its rescue and education services continues to rise.
The Bognor Regis-based charity rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes reptiles and tortoises from across Sussex.
It is now looking for people who are passionate about animal welfare and want to help shape the organisation’s future.
New trustees are being sought to provide strategic leadership, governance and oversight, helping to ensure the charity develops sustainably and continues to meet its charitable objectives.
The centre is also recruiting volunteers to support its day-to-day work.
Opportunities include helping with fundraising and community events, education and outreach activities, administration, office support, social media and public relations, as well as transport and animal collections where appropriate.
No previous experience of working with reptiles is required for many of the roles, with full training and ongoing support provided.

Benjamin Checkley, Operations Manager of The Sussex Reptile Rescue Centre, said: "Every animal that comes into our care deserves the very best chance of recovery and a loving future home. As our charity grows, we need more people to help us achieve that mission. Whether you have professional skills to offer as a trustee or simply a passion for helping animals as a volunteer, we'd love to hear from you. Together, we can make a real difference to reptile welfare across Sussex."
The charity welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds and is particularly interested in hearing from those with experience in charity governance, finance, fundraising, education, veterinary care, marketing, legal services or business management.
People without previous trustee experience are also being encouraged to apply.
Anyone interested in becoming a trustee or volunteer can apply through the Sussex Reptile Rescue Centre website: Become a Trustee – The Sussex Reptile Rescue Centre (external link)
