Police have charged a 14-year-old boy after an elderly man was assaulted in Cowes.
On Wednesday the 25th of March, police were called to a report that a 74-year-old man had suffered injuries to his ribs and head in an assault at around 3:00pm on Ward Avenue.
Following enquiries, a 14-year-old boy from East Cowes was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning ABH and has now been charged.
He remains on bail with conditions to next appear at Isle of Wight Youth Court on Wednesday the 12th of August.
