People across the South are being urged to take care as a yellow heat-health alert remains in place during another spell of hot weather.
Health officials say the conditions could affect vulnerable people, including older residents, young children, those with existing health conditions and anyone living alone.
Temperatures are expected to remain high through the week, especially inland, with Petersfield and Havant forecast to see some of the hottest conditions. Coastal areas including Bognor Regis and Worthing are expected to be slightly cooler, although still warm and humid at times.
On Tuesday, Bognor Regis is forecast to reach around 27 Celsius, Worthing around 26C, Havant around 30C and Petersfield around 31C.
People are being advised to drink plenty of water, avoid too much alcohol, keep out of direct sun during the hottest part of the day and reduce strenuous activity between 11am and 3pm.
Residents are also being urged to check in on older relatives, vulnerable neighbours and anyone who may struggle to keep cool. Keeping curtains or blinds closed during the day, opening windows when it is cooler, and using fans safely can help keep homes more comfortable.
Anyone heading to the coast, rivers or lakes is also being reminded that cold water shock can still happen, even during hot weather.
