Worthing Fire Station will be throwing open its doors later this month for its annual open day, held in conjunction with Broadwater Carnival.
The free community event will take place on Saturday, 18 July, from 10 am, with activities and entertainment spread across Broadwater Green and Worthing Fire Station.
Organisers are promising a packed programme for all ages, including live demonstrations, performances, stalls and family-friendly activities.
Visitors will be able to watch fire and rescue demonstrations, giving people the chance to see crews in action and learn more about the work of the fire service.
There will also be a range of entertainment throughout the day, including Morris dancing and belly dancing, as well as a variety of stalls to browse.
The event aims to raise money for local charities and community groups, including Sussex Disability Football League, TS Vanguard, Broadwater Support Hub and the Fire Fighters Charity.
Worthing Fire Station Manager, Mark Cooper, said: “We have been helping to run this huge joint community event for many years now, and each year we are able to raise some much-needed funds for local charities.
“The carnival and open day are at the heart of the Worthing community, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming residents from across the town and the surrounding areas.
“With something for everyone on offer, we’d encourage people to come along and be part of this brilliant community day.”
Broadwater Carnival and the fire station open day have become a popular fixture in the local calendar, bringing residents together while supporting good causes.
Families are being encouraged to go along, enjoy the entertainment and support the fundraising efforts on the day.
