Anyone who has ever fancied travelling the world without the airport queues, lost luggage or passport panic may want to head for Cowdray this summer.
Cowdray’s Maize Maze is returning for 2026, and this year’s theme is ‘Around the World in 80 Maze’.
The summer attraction opens on Friday, 31, offering families the chance to get lost, find clues, complete a stamp trail and hopefully make it back out in time for a well-earned drink and snack.
Set against views over the Lawns Polo fields towards Cowdray Ruins, the maze promises a scenic day out for all ages.
Visitors will be able to explore the maize maze, follow the themed trail and take in the countryside from the viewing bridge.
There will also be a sunflower and wildflower picking patch, giving visitors the chance to take home a colourful reminder of their day.
For younger visitors, there will be a bale maze and play equipment, offering more ways to burn off energy once the main maze has been conquered.
The maze sits in the Cowdray Estate, near Midhurst, and has become a popular summer outing for families looking for outdoor activities during the school holidays.
Whether visitors are determined explorers, casual wanderers or simply there for the flowers and café, this year’s ‘Around the World in 80 Maze’ theme aims to add a sense of adventure to the Sussex countryside.
