Hats, heels, sharp suits and a fair bit of sparkle are expected at Fontwell Park Racecourse next month as Ladies Evening returns.
The popular Sussex summer event takes place on Friday, August 28, combining seven races with fashion, music and entertainment.
A major part of the evening will be the Style Awards, where racegoers will be judged on creativity, confidence and individual style. Entrants can go for classic race-day glamour, statement hats, tailored suits or a more modern look.
This year’s judging panel includes Stephanie Ridge, owner of premium beauty salon chain Glorious Spa, award-winning milliner Jeanette Battersby-Wilcox, of Sea Horse Millinery, and stylist Amber Jackson, founder of Amber Style Edit and a regular fashion contributor on ITV’s This Morning.
Stephanie Ridge said: “Ladies Evening is the perfect opportunity to celebrate confidence, style and self-expression, so we're thrilled to be supporting this year's Style Awards. We can't wait to see the incredible outfits on display and are delighted to be offering a luxury prize for the winner.”
Alongside the fashion, the racing action will be followed by a live Take That tribute performance. There will also be a DJ set from V2 Radio presenter Gary Booker before the evening ends with a drone show above the racecourse.
Guy Pridie, Director of Fontwell Park Racecourse said: “Ladies Evening is always one of the highlights of our racing calendar. It's a fantastic opportunity for people to dress up, enjoy a glamorous evening with friends and experience all the excitement of live racing.
“This year’s entertainment is set to be equally as impressive. Take That remain one of Britain's most successful and enduring pop groups, so we're delighted to be bringing the magic of their greatest hits to Fontwell with a fantastic live tribute show.”
