Lewes is coming alive today as Patina’s Moving On Parade returns to the streets of the town.
The annual event celebrates Year 6 children from Lewes and the surrounding areas as they prepare to move from primary to secondary school.
This year’s theme is “Absolute Legends”, with pupils taking inspiration from local and global myths and legends.
The free parade from the Paddock and will make its way through the town centre, including New Road, High Street, Cliffe High Street, School Hill, Market Street, Market Lane, Fisher Street and Mount Pleasant, before returning to the Paddock.
The event is run by Patina Lewes Community Arts Charity and is part of the Lewes District Primary Schools Leavers’ Moving On Project. The parade is designed to give children a creative and memorable send-off as they move on to the next stage of their education.
