A further appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage is being made to assist in the investigation into a collision on the A23 at Pease Pottage on Saturday (27 June).
The request is for footage of a collision between a grey Mercedes GLE and a private ambulance on the northbound carriageway on the A23 at about 7.30am.
Officers are also seeking dashcam and CCTV footage of the Mercedes being driven from Brighton.
As part of their enquiries, they are looking for the driver of a tipper truck, carrying a crane attachment, which the ambulance was passing at the time of the collision, to come forward as a witness. The ambulance crossed directly in front of the truck before rolling onto its side. The ambulance was not carrying a patient at the time.
Two of the three men in the Mercedes have been arrested.
A 24-year-old man from Broadbridge Heath, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop after a road traffic accident, driving while unfit through drugs, driving without insurance and possession of an offensive weapon.
A 29-year-old man from Rudgewick, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop after a road traffic accident and drug driving.
Both men have been released on bail for further enquiries.
Any witnesses, and anyone with dashcam and CCTV footage, is asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk, quoting serial 336 of 27/06.
