The heat wave continues for much of the South as the Met Office extends the red extreme heat warning.
It’s mainly in effect in the northern areas of West Sussex and Hampshire, but it does cover East Sussex.
Hospitals in our region say A&E’s are extremely busy and to only go in an emergency.
Rail bosses are advising against all but essential travel on trains today.
Those travelling on the Gatwick Express, Southern and Thameslink networks are being reminded to carry water.
They also tell us that some services will be delayed, cancelled or running on a reduced timetable.
Friday weather: Coastal areas of the South are set for sunny but cooler Friday.
Today's weather is expected to stay mostly sunny across the South Coast, but conditions should feel cooler than the recent extreme heat.
Portsmouth is forecast to see plenty of sunshine, with temperatures reaching around 25 degrees during the afternoon.
Selsey, Chichester and Littlehampton are also expected to stay dry and bright, with highs between 25 and 27 degrees.
Worthing, Brighton and Eastbourne should see similar conditions, with sunny spells and warm temperatures, although sea breezes may help keep it feeling fresher along the coast.
The morning will start warm and fairly cloudy in places, before brighter skies develop through the day.
Evening temperatures are expected to remain mild, generally staying in the low 20s before slowly easing later on.
