Police are searching for a suspect after a man was seriously injured in an incident involving a bladed weapon in Aldwick.
Officers were called to Queens Fields West at around 6.30pm yesterday evening following a report of a man in possession of a bladed weapon at a property.
When police arrived, they found a man in his 40s with serious injuries. His injuries are believed to be consistent with a knife wound.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
Police say officers remain in the area while extensive enquiries are carried out to locate the suspect and establish the full circumstances of what happened.
Residents can expect to see an increased police presence in and around Queens Fields West while the investigation continues.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area, or has information that could help the investigation is urged to contact police.
